Difference between fill-zone and fill-all-zone

After drawing my copper zone in kiCad v6, I see two options to fill my copper pour: fill-zone and fill-all-zones. In previous kiCad version, there was only Fill or Refill All Zones. I tried and compared both but I couldn’t find any difference between them. Does it matter which one I choose or is there any difference between them?

What “both” you did compare? As far as I can see, these are self-evident.

  • Fill Zone – the currently selected zone. Fill or refill, i.e. always fill from scratch, whether it was filled already or not. This is only in the context menu; Zones context menu is there only if it’s initiated from a zone, so one is always selected.
  • All Zones – all zones in the design, also those not selected. This is also in Edit main menu.
  • Unfill Zone – the currently selected, the result is an unfilled zone, i.e. no copper there at all.
  • Unfill All – again, every zone in this design.
