Didnt get 4 tools i.e schematic editor,pcb after first time installation

hello
i am new in kiCAD and just installed it.when i open it i found that i am unable to open frist 4 tools i.e schematic edit,pcb etc they are also not highlighted in the dashboard

You have to either open a project or create a new project (File -> Open or File -> New or New from Template).

I have tried this but new schematic,new pcb is not highlighted

20210125_182423 in my case these marked 4 tools are not highlighted as there showing and I cant use them

You are using a very old version of KiCad 4.0.6 and I expect you are opening a project created in a newer version. You really should upgrade to a more recent version, the current version on most platforms is 5.1.9.

So what actually happens when you chose File -> New project? What platform are you on?
