Hi,
Is it possible to add a “desktop” backup feature in PCBNew’s kicad.
For my documentations, I modify the colors of layers to make more enjoyable the visualization of the PCB (see the attached image).
I am obliged to modify each layer to return to the original colors. Registering the desktop for multiple setups will be a useful feature. This already exists in programming software to configure the syntax of the source code.
Thank you!!

Seems like a good idea to me. To reach the devs you will however need to regeister it as a wishlist bug over at the bugtracker.

AKA color themes, I think this is already on the wishlist, https://bugs.launchpad.net/kicad/+bug/1678345

In the meantime, is there a file where the colors of the layers are saved.
By creating me 2 files, I will be able to replace the files to quickly find the chosen configurations.
Thank you
They’re saved in the configuration file named pcbnew (no extension), with many other settings. On Windows, this file is located in C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\kicad\
