Delete selection with 'delete' key 5.0.2 - solved

Testing out 5.0.2, I think some behavior has changed in EESchema. When I select items on the schematic using a box selection, I can’t delete those items using the delete key. I have to either use CTRL-X or right mouse click and select cut. Is this a change in behavior, and is there a chance we’ll get the old behavior back? Can someone verify that Linux behaves the same way please?

EDIT: I should have added that I’m running on 64-bit Windows 10.

Normal behaviour under Kubuntu 14.04.
Select block and hit Del deletes the block.

All right folks, sorry for the mistake, but this turned out to be my keyboard which has a key labeled delete but actually implements backspace.
