Debugging scripts with Pycharm on MacOS?

I’ve run into problems with a script written for KiCAD on a different OS, and I’ve been unable to set up a project in PyCharm to debug it, because I don’t know how to properly set up the interpreter to point to the embedded KiCAD interpreter
