Dead Tracks in PCBNew

I created a group of tracks in PCB new by selecting an existing group with a dragged box selection, right clicking, using “Duplicate”.

After saving the pcb, closing and re-opening pcbNew i’m no longer able to interact with the 2nd copy of the tracks, (can’t select, move, delete, etc.).

Any way to get rid of them?

Closing and re-opening the editor several times resolved the issue.
