Cursor trail in Schematic Capture

Hi,
Using KiCAD in Ubuntu

~$ cat /etc/issue
Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS \n \l

~$ loginctl show-session 2 -p Type
Type=x11

KiCAD 4.0.7+dfsg1-1ubuntu2, release build

I have a cursor trail in Eeschema.!

Any workaround for this.

Your KiCad version is ancient, I’d recommend getting a newer one if possible.

You can maybe work around this issue by changing the graphics settings from accelerated to legacy or vice versa, but I’m not sure about the exact wording and location of these settings in that old version.

This was a known problem and is fixed in the later (5.1) versions.
