I am missing the cursor options settings in “Preferences/Symbol Editor/Display Options” after a recent clean install of KiCad.
Cursor Options are available in Schematic Editor, Footprint Editor, and PCB Editor preferences. They are missing only from the Symbol Editor Preferences.
Is anyone else experiencing this or have any ideas why those settings might be missing?
You could try different monitor resolutions and/or different desktop scaling values.
I have a similar issue, on my Preferences dialog I only get the first “Cursor Options” shown. As this is fixed for v7.99 (== upcoming v8) and v7.0.x is slowly approaching end of bugfix-support and this was a minor UI thing I did not open a bugreport.
But I can confirm that the sizing of this Preferences dialog is a little bit off.
When I checked a few hours ago, it seemed to be missing too on my system. Then I did some tests, (checked in KiCad-nighty, did some clicking, maybe window resizing) and the cursor options were suddenly visible. That confused me a bit, and therefore I did not respond. The screenshot from mf_ibfeew seems to suggest / confirm it is some kind of rendering issue.
It does appear to be related to display scaling. I temporarily set one of my displays to 100% scaling and could then enable the full screen cursor for the Symbol Editor.
If referring to my Post, as I said, I have No Problem. Graphics works perfectly fine.
I was only pointing out what is/isn’t in the Panels on my system.
Perhaps others are interested in a ‘Fallback’ so, clarification in your post may be worth doing…
