When I click on tools-> generate bill of materials, I get this dialog. When I select one of them, it takes me to a place to select python files but then tells me it is already installed. But they clearly aren’t or are missing. Any idea what might be going on here?
Sounds like you’re hitting the “+” button (which allows you to install new BOM plugins). You already have a bunch in you list there; clicking on one will select it.
Indeed, but that is because they all appear to be missing the py file. Not sure how I got into this mode.

I guess I will delete and reinstall them.
Are you running KiCad from the DMG?
