Create Array function / Panelization

Hi there,

I used to create Panels for my PCBs with the Create Array function of pcbnew with KiCad 5.1.4.
That worked great for me - all PCBs on that panel were exact copies, including their reference designator.
I did not need to change the bom, and in the position file multiple occurences of one reference is ok.

Now, I moved on to KiCad 7.0 and I did my first panel.
I did not pay enough attention, And now I got my boards and the reference are now ■■■■■■ up…
Only the first PCB on the panel matches the schematic. Others don’t.

So - is there a way to create an array without changing the components reference? Just make exact copies? As 5.1.4 did?

Did you choose the radio button labelled Keep existing reference designators in the dialog?
