Copying a project in Kicad 6

I have a completed project and I would like to copy it into a new project and carry on developing it leaving the original alone please advise me on how to do this.

I’d just use file a manager and copy the project files into a new directory and rename them. But perhaps I don’t understand the question.

kicad v6: in Kicad-manager (main window):

  • open original project
  • File–>Save As
    select new directory+new project-name, ENTER.
    ready to go with the new project.

additional advice: the Save-As-function currently also copies all old backup-files to the new directory. You should delete these for a clean working directory.
