Copy items from one project to another in pcbnew

Is there a way to copy lines and circles or polygons from one pcbnew file to another?

Maybe simply editing the file and copy certain text into the new file?

Opening stand alone instances of pcbnew for each file allowed me to copy and paste items between the two in case anyone else has this question. I wouldn’t recommend it for anything that would change the netlist but for polys and such it worked fine.
