Cannot seem to copy a hierarchical schematic in ver 4022.
Tried a search but nothing seemed to come up.
Any one help or point to the solution please?

Version 4022? Is that some ancient version from years ago? Chances of getting peer user help for that is near zero. Can’t you update to the latest version 5.1.5?
Running it on a XP PC.
It does the job for me.
Did try the ver 5 on a Win10 and didn’t find it as easy.
Out of curiosity - what part of it you find more difficult?
It’s impossible to argue against anyone’s personal experience, but still most people who have actually learned to use 5.1 would never want to go back to v4 or older. Few people seem to prefer the older Pcbnew layout editing toolkit and canvas, but even that is often because they haven’t actually learned to use the modern toolkit and its possibilities.
I do not like Win10 anyway.
To me it was not a step up (If its right, we can always change it).
,But I think I have a work around the issue now, from a couple of tests I have done so far.
The problem with just copying the file, it did not copy the hierarchical sheets.
I don’t have to do this much so it is mostly a one-off for now.

.
At least try updating to 4.0.7, which was the last bug fix in the 4.0.x series
I don’t know if 5.1.5 32 bit will actually install on XP, it is not officially supported because XP was dropped by Microsoft ages ago now.
If win 10 is not what you want your operating system to be like then maybe look at some Linux distros. There are options that duplicate the look of win xp.
The Xfce window manager comes quite close and focuses on being lightweight so should run well on old hardware. Example the fedora spin https://spins.fedoraproject.org/xfce/ (the task line can be moved to the bottom which would match win xp even better)
However, for help with converting from win xp to Linux you might want to look at a more general Linux community forum like https://www.linux.org/forums/ or https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/ (note: i have not yet used either of these forums, but they seem to fit such a discussion). And after you decided which distro to use then the best place for help will be the forum of that distro.
Not too easy. Ver. 4022 is a pre version 4, what could be called v3.
Could you be more specific? What do you have and what do you want to achieve.
I will check out ver 4.0.7
Hopefully I can still work with any project created under the old 4022.
