Is there a way in 5.1.9 to remove unconnected islands of copper pour?
I see there looks to be a setting to do it in 5.99 but could do with a way to do it in 5.91.
Thanks

Assign the zone to a net and it will not have any islands.
Halachal is probably right. But you should be more careful with the version number: there’s no 5.9 nor 5.91. There are 5.99 (the unstable development version) and 5.1.9 (the latest stable).
Oops meant 5.1.9
I have the copper pour assigned to 5v net but still get unconnected islands, even when there are no connections within the island that need connecting.
Post a picture, or better yet your .kicad_pcb
.
Odd, it is the “no net” zone that is normally used for copper flooding empty space - something most people do not recommend these days
It could be that we have a misunderstanding of terms here.
I think @halachal and others assumed you meant isolated island. This is an island of a copper pour that has no connection at all to any pin of its assigned net. Such an island would indeed be removed by KiCad for any zone that has a net assigned.
My guess hoverer is that your unconnected island has at least one pad of the given net in it. In which case you can set the affected pin up not to connect to copper zones (in the pad properties) or use a keepout area. But a potentially better solution would be to find a way to connect this part of your zone to the rest.
Use the highlight net tool to show you the net that the “island” belongs to. I bet it’s connected to the rest of the pour somehow. I’ve never seen an isolated island created unless you specified no net for it.
