Recently I’ve started using Ki CAD 6, but I’ve noticed something strange going on.
Certain components (Resistors, Capacitors, Inductors, Diodes) don’t seem to snap on the grid, however ICs and transistors seem to snap on just fine. These are the components that are included in the standard Ki CAD library, not custom symbols or footprints.
I checked the preferences, tried changing the grid settings and minimum spacing, but it doesn’t seem to work.
Is there a certain setting that I’m missing that needs to be changed? I’m currently using Ki CAD 6.0.2 btw.
You can even select a whole area to repair and right click. This was useful for me because yesterday somehow I selected a fine grid accidentally, maybe by hotkey.
Yeah, I just realized that, was playing around with the hotkeys. Didn’t realize that when you press N you change the grid but if you press Shift N it reverts back to the previous grid setting, now all the components seem to be snapping again.
