Complete Install (Win OS) - Are there updated help & footprint files?

Previously installed old stable: BZR4022

Recently also installed kicad-product-r5596.ae57c46-x86_64.exe.

Having trouble finding documentation on what else is required for a full install. Where are the documentation files (the doc folder, containing the help & tutorials is not included)? What about the footprint libraries? Anything else?

Thanks, Scott

Looks like the help files are in place - their new path is:
KiCad\share\doc\kicad\help

That said, when attempting to open them via the applications, the following error results:
Help file ‘’ could not be found.

And, from the program launcher - when attempting to open the Getting Started in KiCad pdf:

Html or pdf help file
‘getting_started_in_kicad’
or
‘Getting_Started_in_Kicad’ could not be found

Is there a way to change the path and point to the correct directory?

Same problem here. I Installed kicad in Archlinux ( 2013-may-18) and am unable to have a usable help file.
Have created 2 folders : /usr/lib/kicad/doc/ and /usr/share/kicad/doc/ and put it in the project folder too.
Why cant these files be installed during program-installation ? Since there is no menu for setting the path to these files, this becomes a nuisance. Same thing for the text and pdf programs, when I click on them, it goes to the program, a useless step, since I dont want to look at the program icon of libreoffice but open a document. Where can the path be defined please ?
Where are the .pdf files for the programs ? I had to save all html pages with a print command. Kind of weird.
Thanks a lot Arno
