Common preferences for UI on Linux

Hi all,

I am using this KiCad Linux Package.
and would like to know if there are any options to configure by toggling or key binds the
following UI elements:

  • Toolbars (the ones with icons, since I have key binds for them).
  • Status line (in my editor it seems larger than necessary).
  • Full screen mode (F11) that hides the top bar.

I understand that these options are not a priority, but would like to help if possible.

note: for toolbars you can make the icons smaller but didn’t find an option to hide completely.

KiCad has been moving slowly towards a more customizable GUI for a few years now. The biggest problem here is the amount of hours that is available between al the volunteers working on KiCad. So it you can and want to help, that’s great. One place to start is with the link below.
