Closed: how to find symbols in the symbol library browser

hey there, i am new to kicad 8 and it took me like an hour how to find a resistor symbol :smiley:

sadly, as far as i see, i need to know the “category” of my desired symbol and cant just search for it…

i finally managed to see that the “symbol editor” has a “better” search though! :wink:

cant we have a similar search within the symbol library browser too?

nvm, just use the “add symbol” dialog :smiley:
