Clearance slot on PCB

I need to add a slot to a PC board to allow an otherwise unused connector to stick through an overlay PC board I’m creating. Is there anything I need to do at the board level to ensure the slot is milled out? The cutout is already included on the Edge Cuts layer…

I uploaded the Gerbers to one PC board house and used their Gerber viewer. All the layer files had checkmarks except Edge Cuts, which had a ! by it and no explanation.

If this was JLCPCB: their check mechanism is unreliable and random at times. I’ve had many a board made there and all of them were ok. All of them had exclamation marks, prominently on edge.cuts.

If something is really wrong with a board, they contact you via eMail. And they are good at it. I once forgot a USB connector’s positioning stud holes. They found that.

If the slot is on edge.cuts, you are fine. Just check it complies with the board house’s capabilities for minimum width allowed.

I should be fine then, as I believe I set the width to 1/8" (to clear the pins of a MTA156 header).
