Hi, using the latest Kicad build, working fine except I can’t work out in PCBNew when in OpenGL (for CERN push/shove) canvas how to scroll the window so I can move around the panel. The only way I can do it is by moving a component off the window and the screen automatically scrolls, however moving components to scroll isn’t great. Using Windows 8.
I’m sure I’m missing something obvious, the documentation for the CERN version is pretty limited (just a youtube video on using push/shove???). Thanks.
Thanks. F4 does work for the default view, however for the OpenGL view F4 doesn’t do anything. However if you zoom out then place the cursor on the area you want to move to, then zoom in you can move around. Not very orthodox but you don’t have access to the scrollbars when dragging tracks anyway so I guess zoom in/out is workable. I find myself going back to the default view to move about the PCB though.
P&S router is excellent but OpenGL mode is really only useful for routing. I have noticed that sometimes in the OpenGL mode when no options are selected that when you move the cursor to the edges of the screen there is automatic scrolling which is perfect, however I haven’t been able to work out what buttons to press to get into this mode (it won’t work when you have track mode selected or select mode).
Am I missing a key document to read for the OpenGL mode? Seems strange there is nothing but a video to watch for OpenGL help.
yes, I’ve just checked, F4 works on my linux machine in GL mode (the build is newer however: bzr 5247 on linux and 5142 on Windows, no idea if the build is the cause or the OS)
