Can't put a trace on bottom layer

I am trying to run a large trace on the bottom layer from the copper pour on net +28VF. Every time I click on it it switches to the front layer.

I also had problems getting the rear pour to fill in after copying it from the front.

file.kicad_pcb (170.1 KB)

now that I have managed to run a trace from it on the back it won’t connect to a pin on the same net.

No file attached for download.

Still this forum doesn’t let us upload pcb files correctly. It must be e.g. put into a zip file first.

Discourse have fixed the underscore bug in their master but I don’t think they have released a new binary for @ChrisGammell to update this forum with yet

Workaround: click on a via as the starting point or start the trace from the other direction. (My guess is that KiCad gets confused as both sides have the same net)

You could report this as an issue on the bugtracker.

I couldn’t tell if it had been released into the daily builds yet, but I’ll try to update the forum to give it a shot.

I got this far: https://kicad.org/help/report-an-issue/ am I blind?

See this part (link at the end):

Repositories

KiCad (applications)

If you have a functional issue with using any application be it the project launcher (KiCad), schematic editor (Eeschema), pcb editor (Pcbnew), Gerber viewer (gerbview) and other executables.

The correct issue repository is located here

OK, I realised what was meant by repository and have submitted. I tough the repositories was the original software.

An aside to the content of this thread: We are now on the newest version of Discourse and .kicad_pcb files work for upload.
