Everytime I open up CVPCB, I get the same error as Problem loading footprints in cvpcb.

Could someon help me out?
Post your kicad version, os, and the error message you get.

The usual problem is that updating kicad (you should probably be using 4.0.1) does not update fp-lib-table.
