I’m new to Kicad and using Kicad 8.
I have been able to solve problems that came along this learning process but now I’m stuck.
It’s a 2 layer PCB
I can’t draw a single trace in PCB editor.
I can start a trace but I’m never allowed to finish it so nothing appears on the pcb.
I took 2 smd components with a short track connecting them and both belong to the same net.
When I click on one pad, it highlights as does the other pad but I can’t make the connection.
Even if i make the setting in the interactive router to allow DRC violations, I can’t make the track.
I tried changing grid settings but nothing changed.
Is there a way to see what the error is or what the cause of my problem is.
I also ckecked the footprints and the pads are set to ‘From parent footprint’.
Had a conversation with AI perplexity but this time we can’t figure it out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
