Cannot open Eagle schematic

Hi,
with the latest git build it is not possible to open the PSU schematic from an open hardware / open source project:

It just gives a warning message: https://ibb.co/cXSDzRC
What can I do to open the file with KiCad?

KiCad Project window -> File -> Import EAGLE

I get the same message starting from the project window.
I reported the bug:

I could not reproduce the previous behaviour so I closed the issue report.

Now I have a different issue with a schematic file made with KiCad:

Can anyone confirm?

You linked a pcb file not a schematic. I assume this is a mistake as it is kind of clear that eeschema is the wrong tool to open a pcb file,
