Cannot create netlist

I feel sure this is a stupid beginners’ question. Still I really cannot find a way to create a netlist in the eeschema editor. There is supposed to be a clickable icon for that, but it does not show up for me. Out of the box Kicad 6.0 on Ubuntu 18.04.

I hope you don’t need the netlist for the PCB editor. Using a netlist for that workflow is obsolete. Instead use Update PCB from Schematic:Schematic Editor | 6.0 | English | Documentation | KiCad

Thanks. I do not watch videos, but I do have been consulting obsolete doc :slight_smile: And yes I wanted it for the PCB editor, thanks for putting me on the right track.

Speaking of obsolete, you do know Kicad is up to 7.0.5?

And Ubuntu 18.04 is EOL too. Ubuntu 18.04 EOL – keep your fleet of devices up and running | Ubuntu Maybe upgrade Ubuntu so that you can install KiCad 7?
