Cannot connect U1 pin 8 to anything

I am using V5.1.4, Win7x64 - I am new to Kicad - trying a simple battery alarm ckt with thru hole components, single component side, traces on back. I have tried several op amp symbols (LM358 or LM2904) and several footprints (8 pin DIP) & all seem to have same issue. Relocating Pwr & VCC had no luck. The file attached is as close as I have come, but trace is still not connected. Any ideas will be appreciated.

The schematic cannot be seen if you don’t send at least the BatAlarm-cache.lib.

You need to add at least unit C to your schematic.

2904/358 consists of two op-amps.

  • Unit A (3+, 2-, y3)
  • Unit B (5+, 6-, y7)
  • Unit C (8V+, 4V-)

Try attached zip containing the necessary changes. You may need to rearrange as required.

Thanks for the replies! I am attaching the whole file - maybe it will make better sense.Bat Alarm.zip (19.8 KB)

Thanks Jos - I finally got the picture. I did try attaching a Digikey symbol which included power/gnd but it did not work either. I added the ‘C’ unit from the lib & all is well!
