Cannot Close Footprint Viewer in V5RC (fixed in 5/12 version

Update:
I installed Version: (5.0.0-rc2-dev-720-g9704891c8), release build and now the footprint viewer can be closed.

I have a test project I have been using for learning Kicad. It has two resistors, each shorted out.
Originally both were SMD parts. Today I changed one to a THD. To verify I selected the correct footprint I opened the viewer from Cvpcb. The footprint was displayed but I cannot close the Footprint viewer window.

There may be an open message box hiding under one of your windows. Minimize each window, in sequence, to see if that’s the case. Click the " OK " button (or whatever response the message box is looking for) and see if that restores control of the CVPCB window.

Dale

Hi Dale,

When the issue exhibited itself I was using “kicad-r10305.62d6750ce-x86_64.exe 11-May-2018 17:07”

I could not see any other open dialogs to cause this. I could close Cvpcb and the Footprint Viewer would close as with it.
I could then reopen Cvpcb and the viewer, with the same results.

I installed “kicad-r10313.9704891c8-x86_64.exe 12-May-2018 16:54” today and could not repeat the issue.

I could reinstall the older version and test again if it would help / be useful.
