Can we disable the snap to grid?

I wanted to use the measuring tool to verify pin spacing but the snap to grid doesn’t let me. I can’t find a reference to snap to grid anywhere! Can we disable it?
Chacked the entire manual nada!

Press and hold down Alt and then move the Measure tool.

There is also:
Pcbnew / Preferences / Preferences / Pcbnew / Magnetic Points / Snap to Pads (Always)

This adds the centers of pads to the snap points, and when such a point is found Pcbnew draws an extra circle over the selected point, which clearly identifies the snap point.

When the grid it coarse, you can also visually see the locations of these points are different.
