Can’t Edit Schematic After Upgrading from KiCad 6 to KiCad 8

I developed a schematic in KiCad 6 and recently updated to KiCad 8. After opening my old schematic in KiCad 8, I am unable to edit the schematic properly — for example, I can’t connect wires to component pins or modify some symbols. I’ve attached a screenshot showing the issue.

Has anyone experienced this problem when migrating from KiCad 6 to KiCad 8?

• Is this related to library or symbol compatibility?
• Do I need to update my schematic or remap the symbols?
• What’s the recommended way to fix this and make my schematic fully editable again?

Try: Select everything, then right click and choose Align Items to Grid. Then check that the connections are correct.
