HI Experts,
Is it possible to rename an existing self-created footprint without having to delete and redraw it from the scratch? If yes, how to go about it?
I am using the Kicad version (5.1.8)-1 release build under Windows 10, 64-bit version.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Best regards

“Save As” to the same library and delete the old one. It feels like a missing feature, I’ll report this…

It can be done:
Open the Footprint Editor, select your Footprint.
Footprint Editor / Edit / Footprint Properties
Change the “Footprint Name”.
O.K.
But still, an addition of a Rename [F2] addition on the right-click popup menu seems like it was “forgotten” to add.

I have tried both methods and they both worked.
Maybe version 6 would include this missing feature.
But for today, many thanks to both of you for your quick and helpful response.
Best regards
