Can not copy+paste symbol

In symbol editor I can’t copy TL061, TL071 and TL081 symbols.

I select the symbol (in Amplifier_Operational), right mouse button->copy symbol,

I select the destination library and do right mouse button->paste symbol,

I get the message:
Can not paste: invalid symbol definition in Clipboard, line 1, offset 0.

It works nicely with other symbols.

… looks like it happens with any symbol in Amplifier_Operational.

I tested a dozen randomly selected symbols in the above library and can’t copy any of them

I can copy randomly selected symbols in other libraries.

Is the problem the source library or the destination library ? Are the maybe aliases (written in italics) ?

Some things how symbols are handled have changed in nightly. I seem to remember there being a problem with aliases as the alias system will change considerably with the new file format and some things have already been prepared.

So it might be that you need to delete aliases from your symbol then copy it and only after that add aliases back in.

Your right. They are italics. I wasn’t aware of that. I checked in TL071 properties and found out it is derived from the ancient ??741

It’s OK for me, for the moment. I will use 741 as the source and modify the pasted 741.

Thanks for the help.
