Can KiCad import design files from other software for PCB layout?

My passion is amateur rocketry and, as such, I have been designing a new launch control system for my rocket club of which I am president.

The control panel has been designed using Shapr3D. It’s been cut using exported .DXF file to CNC and laser. There are many switches on the panel and I’d like to layout soldering pads for these many switches based upon the .DXF (or other format) files from Shapr3D. Once I have these precisely located, I can work in all of the logic and other electronics. The issue is the precise layout for the switches!

Ja.

.DXF

In case you don’t understand German. You can directly import a DXF drawing into the PCB editor with: PCB Editor / File / Import / Graphics
