I’m not sure what exactly you are looking for but as a fall back the files are text based so you can always use a text editor or script if you want.

In PCBNew, select a footprint then open its “Properties” window. (Right click & select “Properties”, or shortcut “E”.)

Click on “Change Footprints”. The “Change Footprint” menu allows you to not only change the selected footprint to something else, but also change the footprint for all instances of a component with the same value (e.g., all transistors with a value of “BC547”), or all instances where the selected footprint occurs (e.g., everyplace that the footprint “TO-92_spread” is used on your board).
