I discovered the button ‘HirachicalPCB’ in PCB editor but could not find any discription how to use it. Could somebody advice, please (Vers. 8.07).

Where exactly is did you find this button? There is a hierarchical schematics function…

it looks like some external plugin, you should see if the developer of that provides some kind of usage manual.

thanks, I went to the link in GitHub and studied the ‘how to use’ section, but could not copy it, because I do not understand how to do point 2.
I normally do the following sequence:

  • start new project

  • go to schematic editor draw the circuit, attach the footprint (in properties) ,open pcb editor and place the device etc. This works

  • then I open the subsheet and add the circuit there

at this point I am lost and don’t how to create the pcb for the sub sheets as shown in the example from GitHub
