Best way to debug relatively frequent crashes?

I use an M1 MacBook Pro to run KiCad (see version info below).

I find that some combination of the schematic editor, pcb editor, footprint editor, symbol library manager and possibly multiple monitors/desktops and/or switching from single to multiple or multiple to single monitors/desktops causes a crash in KiCad.

Now of course I could report a bug, but I wondered if there was anything I could do to help narrow down the problem first as it’s pretty vague from the above.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Most helpful is, if you manage to find a way to provoke the crash on your system. I know this can be very difficult but it helps the devs big time.
