Hi. My PCB Editor is missing B.Silkscreen from the Layers section of the Appearance Manager.
I’ve researched this, but my searches keep getting directed to the more common problem, of the silkscreen layer being left out of the Gerbers, which is NOT my issue. I’m just trying to create silkscreen on the backside of the board.
So for this one project, it must be a setting somewhere, but I’ve hunted through dozens and dozens of menus, and my eyes have glazed over the the point now that it could be right in front of me and I would miss it.
As the first picture shows, a LOT of the default items are missing from the Layers menu, so I’m certain that they were just turned off inside this project by the [more experienced] person who originally built the project I’m editing now.
is the magic menu. I knew it was hidden in there somewhere, and it being buried under Board Setup is what kept me from finding it on my first frantic search.
If someone answered your question, then mark it as the solution. For a short thread it does not matter very much, for longer threads it helps others who are searching this forum for answers to find the answers quicker.
Thank you, paulvdh, I was unaware of that feature here on the forum, so I have just done that here, and will do that on all my questions going forward.
