Automatism prevents propper connection

Whatever I do in the setup (Str + <), I can not manually modify the track in the circle, so that it goes in orthogonal:

How can I get something like a 100% manual routing mode?

You can try holding Shift when dragging a track to prevent it from snapping to the pad.
