Hi folks,
I inserted a symbol and named it “Power_in”.
However, Kicad 6.0 always appends a “1” after the name.
Is there a way to change this behaviour?
Thanks!

Use the “Value” field to define what the part is for (in this case “Power in”) and the reference for identification on the boards (J1, R1, etc. etc.)
EDIT: There are international and industrial norms for the reference values
Makes sense, thank you!
The standard power symbols do not have a visible Reference Designator.
I opend a +12V power symbol in the symbol editor and it has a “#” in front of the Reference, and that is used to suppress parts (or visibility) in KiCad.
