Auto scroll issue

Hi!
I’m moving to KiCAD from Eagle, so don’t really know my way around… I have an issue with the schematic editor. Every time I select a component, and trying to move it near the edge of the screen, it flies off the paper in a fraction of a second, it’s absolutely uncontrollable, I’d like to turn it off, but can’t find how…
Any suggestion?

Kicad version: 4.0.6+dfsg1-1
OS: Ubuntu 17.10

I believe it is the Pan while moving object option in the schematic editor preferences under the Controls tab.
