Hi quys
Anybody knows if some kind of auto placement , auto arrange will see in ver 5?.
Back in Ver 4 we had at least “global spread and place”. Is this gone In ver 5?

It still exists with the legacy canvas. With the Modern Toolset (aka OpenGL mode), you normally don’t need it when you first switch from the schematics to the PCB.

I don’t know if you have python access (i.e. not linux yet), but there are some action scripts you may want to check out. Here are two that I know of (note, I haven’t tried them myself so I can’t vouch for them):

- Replicate Layout, one of the action plugins here: https://github.com/MitjaNemec/Kicad_action_plugins/ Probably not quite what you are looking at, but the ReadMe for this plugin looks like it is useful for repeating hierarchical schematics that use the same page multiple times. I missed that option (F9). At least this is still here.
SembazuruCDE looks promising this python script for auto arrange. At least it will give me some initial help after placing some connectors.
