The new native Altium schematic importer is really neat! Thanks devs!
However, there seems to be a problem - for me it resets all the reference designators to ‘?’.
Is this just something I am doing? Or a known limitation of the current native importer?
Best use menu Help → Report Bug in KiCad because it includes information about the version, etc., for the developers.
DOH! Nevermind. Annotations were being lost when I copy/pasted into the target project schematic. Apparently, the default mode for paste is to “clear reference designators on all pasted symbols”.
I didn’t realize there was a right-click “Paste Special…” option, where I was able to select “Keep existing reference designators…”!
KiCad rocks!
