Alternativ Symbols for one component

Hello.

I am trying to create alternative symbols for one component. Ideally, I would be able to choose, which symbol I use everytime I try to place it into my schematic. I would prefer not to have two symbols in the library for the same component, but one library item and different options of symbols.

Is KiCad able to do so? I am using KiCad 9.0.0.

No. One name for one symbol. If you have 20 different transistor symbols, give them each a different name but keep them in a library exclusively for transistors.
