I was looking at someone else’s PCB to better understand ‘add filled zones.’
Owing to the help I got from this forum, I was able to finish designing the first iteration of my first PCB for now.
But I noticed in the example PCB I was looking at had a filled zone defined by the edge cut outline. (Photos below)
It made sense to do filled zones for either front or back layer of Cu layer but I am not sure what it means physically to add filled zones for edge cuts and its possible benefits.
Don’t know what is the sense of a filled zone in the edge.cuts layer, but kicad allows creating such a zone.
It can be useful in other layers, as silkscreen or eco, drawings, etc.
