A question for the owners of this forum. As of today, it is not possible to access this forum without a VPN from Russia. Forum is blocked for users from Russia?

More likely a topic you should raise with your ISP but I suspect your non-VPN access is already pretty restricted and VPN access might also become problematic. See also China, North Korea etc.

As for the provider, this is unlikely, since I use the Internet from three different providers. We will use a VPN for now. Sometimes this forum is extremely useful, you can find a solution to your problem, or help someone with a solution.

@ChrisGammell would have to answer this, but I suspect it wasn’t his decision. I’d bet this is the first he knew of it. Can you get to the Kicad main site OK? I suspect government/ISP interference. Which one, multiple?, I don’t know.

But, a simple trace route may give the answer. I don’t know what OS you use so I can’t give help on how to do it. Might be a website that does it for you.

With access to the main page https://www.kicad.org/ everything is fine, everything works without a vpn, just like other sections of the main site. Regarding the operating system, I use windows 10.

Unfortunately, no, the forum page doesn’t open on the phone either. Also, using a different browser does not help, have been tried: yandex browser (my main browser), firefox, edge.

Maybe there’s a network misconfiguration somewhere.

Works fine with 3 providers and all devices in Moscow.

Thank you for the encouraging reply that everything is working for users in Moscow. I’m really not in Moscow, but in another city in Russia (Yoshkar-Ola). I hope these are really problems for intermediate providers.

yesterday I tried to use tracert, the connection was cut off somewhere at step 7, there was no response from some ip address. But today, everything magically started working without a vpn. Thanks a lot to everyone.

My Linux box gives me pretty good output. If it happens again and your Windows box is only giving IP addresses then you can try a whois on the ip address. But, it seems like it was probably just some sort of temporary routing issue, we hope.

There was a massive Internet outage in Russia yesterday, perhaps the access problem was related to this.
