A single character in search term may find all the footprints

I was searching for certain footprint, when I noticed that single character search does not really work.
I have JST connectors, and for instance searching for “y” gives them all with or without y.

Edit: This Windows 10/64 and Application: KiCad Schematic Editor (64-bit)

Version: (6.0.0-rc2), release build

Libraries:
wxWidgets 3.1.5
libcurl/7.78.0-DEV Schannel zlib/1.2.11

Platform: Windows 10 (build 19042), 64-bit edition, 64 bit, Little endian, wxMSW

Build Info:
Date: Dec 16 2021 18:01:09
wxWidgets: 3.1.5 (wchar_t,wx containers)
Boost: 1.76.0
OCC: 7.5.0
Curl: 7.78.0-DEV
ngspice: 35
Compiler: Visual C++ 1929 without C++ ABI

Build settings:
KICAD_USE_OCC=ON
KICAD_SPICE=ON

It does work properly as far as I can see.

If you’ve looked carefully at the “size bar” on the right side, you would have seen a change in size when you type “y”.

That search bar does not only search in the name of the footprints, it also searches in other places. At least in the “Keywords” field of the footprints.

So I opened one of those JST connectors in the footprint editor and then looked at it’s keywords, and they are:

connector JST GH side entry

There are also at least Molex and Samtec connectors who respond to the string “side entry”.

I understand. Thank you
