A silly little bug or incorrect text?

Just after a bit of confirmation before reporting.
In PCB Editor
Top LH icon in 5.1.12 states “Grid on or off” and does just that.
Top LH icon in 6.0 states “Display dots or lines” but turns grid on or off.

I’m using Linux Mint but would like others with different OS to check behavior please.

Win10: “Display grid dots or lines in the edit window”
seems ok for me (albeit “grid on/off” is also good understandable)

@mf_ibfeew
Hi, you get either dots or lines with your grid toggle?

It’s an grid on/off-button.
I read the tooltip-string as:
Display (grid dots or lines) in the edit window
and not as
Display (grid dots) OR (lines) in the edit window
But I recognize that this could led to misunderstandings.

The switch between dots/lines is located at:
preferences–>PCB-editor–>display-options–>Grid-options–> Grid style

Yes,

I know.
To my mind it will lead to misunderstandings especially with newbies… hence “silly” or better still “trivial”.
That was why I was looking for opinions.

I think it is poorly worded.

I’ll report it and let the powers decide. :slightly_smiling_face:
