9.0.5. PCB Editor precise positioning is out

In 9.0.5, the precise positioning of the items is off.

Precise positioning:

• Select a footprint or another item

• Hit M for move

• Before touching the mouse, press a cursor key (up, down, left or right)

• The axis is now locked to the X (when previously pressed left or right key) or Y (when previously pressed up or down)

In 9.0.4, it’s been working. In 9.0.5., this does not work.

I could not find any related option in the Settings. If there is such an option or there is a new hot key, please tell me.

Please try “Testing” build. V9.0.5 had a few problems.

On what is 9.0.6rc1, M works as expected. Mouse control works in both X and Y after following your sequence

@hwidvorakinfo Same issue here.
It’s unbelievable how useful this feature is/was. Please Fix/re-enable it.
A more precise descriptor would be “move: axis locking via arrow keys” where (while in move functionality), the up/down arrows lock selected item/s to current x positioning in the y axis and the right/left arrows locks selected item/s to current y positioning in the x axis.

This seems to be working in 9.0.6-rc2: https://downloads.kicad.org/kicad/macos/explore/stable

On MacOS, this appears to still be broken in version 9.0.6

Please raise a new issue with a sample if possible. MacOS is always undertested
