9.0.0-rc2 issue

Apologies for the dud title. I am not familiar with the correct term for this problem.

Every time I open the “Choose Symbol”, I have to move the Description across to expose the full library Item name.

Anyone Know the correct terminology for this problem so I can check Gitlab for the problem?
I use Linux Mint. Is anyone using a different OS suffering the same problem?

Call it Item column too narrow?

Ahh when I was not using KiCad for work, I also liked to try out the nightlies.

I know that I can install both, but I do not want to do anything which might tempt me to make a mistake and accidentally save something in the nightly version when I need to have it in stable 8.XX.

Windows build, no issue here.
MINT is often mentioned for some incompatibilities, and is considered not officially supported so if other distros don’t have the issue, chances are any report will be rejected.

Seeing the same issue on Ubuntu 24.04

It would be great if Kicad remembered the changes when you make an adjustment to any of the list box column sizes.

This was fixed a few days ago
