It seems like something important has happened, don’t know when, maybe in 7.0.10?, as when using KiCad now it reacts so very well between the schematics and the PCB, meaning when clicking/choosing a component, or anything, on one side it immediately and CLEAR reacts on the other side. This seems promising! Maybe, soon, also automatic vias are made when routing on one layer and it stops as another track is stopping it on the same layer, and then it automatically makes a via (choosable for the user) and continues the routing on another layer… The future’s so bright, gotta wear shades?

It’s worth trying “Testing”, already 36 commits ahead of 7.0.10.
You can always roll back by installing 7.0.10 on top.

Not even in version 7.0.36 this important, innovative function was added. May be available in version 0.37?
New features won’t be happening in a 7.0.11 (if that one happens)
Even in 7.99 now is unlikely as there is a string freeze in force, as V8 is getting very close

V8.0.0 rc1 has just been tagged
What does “string freeze in force” mean?
That no more changes to texts (strings) inside the GUI are happening anymore for that release, so translators can finish the translations.
