3d-viewer: how to use animation?

Greetings - I am running 5.99 and I noticed there is an “Enable animation” option in the 3d-viewer options. However, I have not figured out how to initiate the animation. The render is static unless I click to rotate.

Is this a feature still in development, or am I missing something?

thanks,
drew

It just affects animated rotation when you rotate the board with Zoom to Fit, Top/Bottom view etc. With “Enable animation” unchecked it immediately changes the view, with checked it animates the rotation from the current position to the selected position.

Thanks!

That is pretty fun to watch it zoom out.
